This introductory course aims to provide participants with a strong foundational understanding of IEC61131-3 programming, a widely accepted standard for programming industrial control systems. The course starts with the essentials on how to use an Integrated Development Environment then moves onto data types and programming instructions. Languages covered in the course include Ladder Diagram (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Structured Text (ST), and Sequential Function Chart (SFC).
